Dowco Triumph Street completes late-season drum overhaul

With two weeks to go before the Worlds, Dowco Triumph Street makes a major sound shift by switching to the Premier 800 side drum, and a Hosbilt mid-section. L/D Andre Tessier, in consultation with Cameron's Drumming Studio and Hosbilt, has made this move in time for their last local contest of the season in Seattle.

The band is traveling to Scotland next week to take part in Piping Live! as well as the World Pipe Band Championships.

The mid-section upgrade includes a retrofitted bass drum and 4 new tenor drums that feature carbon-fibre hoops and the state-of-the art "T-stud" turnbuckle tensioning system by Hosbilt. The Premier 800's replace the Andante Reactor snare drums.

"We are very excited about this new venture with our sound" says Tessier. "While it is late in the season, I felt that the time was right to make a change. The new drums will allow the snare section to project a bigger sound, while our mid-section will create extremely warm and precise tones. I am very thankful to Craig Colquhoun and Hugh Cameron for their significant efforts in bringing this project to fruition on a very tight timeline."
