The band’s first concert, on January 20th, sponsored by the Celtic Arts Foundation, was held in honour of Robbie Burn’s Day.  Performances by the Triumph Street Pipe Band, guitarist Tony McManus, and others, made for a wonderful Celtic evening.

Next was The Cellar fundraiser concert on March 18th. We welcomed returning band alumni, friends, and family to celebrate the band’s 35th year, CelticFest Vancouver and St. Patrick’s Day.  Thanks to all who came out to support the “new” band in performance, along with the Penk O’Donnell Dancers, and surprise guests!

The band was happy to be invited to the “B in the Park” concert in Ottawa on August 2nd.  It was a windy but warm night, and the band had a chance to meet other bands before the big day at the North American Championships in Maxville.

The final band appearance of the summer season was a Festival Vancouver concert at the Vancouver Art Gallery on August 9th.  The crowds filled the plaza and the band played a one hour set.  It was a perfect finish to an amazing competitive season.

Remembrance Day 2007 provided the focus for a busy band weekend - to honour the veterans, to thank the Legion #148 for all their support, to “begin the new season”, and bring the new band members together.  It was an exciting (and cold) weekend!
